Renewable Energy: Worried about global warming?

Home Made Energy

Hi Guys,

I hope that you are having a good day.

Today I got a flyer on the post from a renewable energy company titled:
Renewable Energy: Worried about global warming?

They basically offer a 1.2 kW solar panel system, which according to them will “generate on average nearly 1000 kWh per year”.

The system is guaranteed for 20-years. This ground-mounted system costs £7,999.00 and then they state that it may attract a government grant of £2,400.00. For the average family this is highly unlikely. And if you apply online you are eligible for a further £100.00 discount so that the net cost to you would be £5,499.00.

By having a ground-mounted system may remove the need for planning permission. However, you should always check whether you need to apply for planning permission.

Going back to one of my previous posts titled “Show Me the Money: Your Return on Capital” we can easily demonstrate that even at £5,499.00 this system is not value for money.

My electricity consumption last year came to 6953 kWh for the year. The 6953 kWh cost me £877.78. The above-mentioned system will only provide me with 14.4% of my electricity requirement. Therefore the above mentioned system will save me £126.24/year at the current price of electricity and therefore the break even point for the return on my capital, assuming a 0% interest rate, is £5,499.00/£126.24 = 43,6 years.

The thing is that you can build a comparable system yourself with the right guide providing you with step-by-step information within a budget that is affordable for all people. And don’t, for a minute, think that you need to be a boffin to this as even an inexperienced person can create his or her own solar power generator with relative ease.

Elsewhere they go on about the reduction of your carbon footprint… a reference to the carbon trading schemes the climate-industrial complex with the help of complicit government shills are trying to foist upon us.

The Main Stream Media along with all the other propaganda machines from government to that of the self-serving / vested interest of the climate-industrial complex keep bombarding you with global warming / climate change as if a lie repeated often becomes the truth…

As the global warming scam is more and more faith based rather than scientific they clutch more and more at straws to push their punitive “green” taxes upon us.

So am I worried about global warming the answer is an emphatic NO. I only wish that we were getting warmer. Hell, during roman times it was warm enough for them to plant vineyards and orange grove up to Hadrian’s wall. And I’ve said before if the met office has enough difficulties in predicting the weather for the next couple of days with any accuracy how the hell would the be able to predict global warming / climate change for the next year (Their BBQ summer did not materialize) let alone 10, 20 or a hundred years from now.

On a weekly, if not a daily, basis I see the myth being dismantled with many of the faithful turning their backs on the false church of man made global warming. As for climate change… well what of it. Climate change is a natural phenomena partly caused by the sun, the earth’s magnetic fields and what goes on deep within the earth core.

The only thing we can do about climate change is to live with it the best we can. We also need to educate ourselves so that we can distinguish what is real and what is caused by the smoke and mirrors of vested interests.
